ORDER

MA No. 248/2018 has been filed by the appellant in terms of Section 30 of the Employees Compensation Act challenging the award dated 31[st] August, 2018 passed by the Commissioner Employees Compensation (Assistant Labour Commissioner) Jammu whereby the Commissioner has awarded a sum of Rs.3,50,330/-along with interest at the 12% per annum in favour of respondent No.2.

When the appeal aforesaid was initially filed, it was not accompanied by a certificate of the Commissioner Employees Compensation with regard to the deposit of the awarded amount before him. Later on, the appellant has moved IA No.01/2019 seeking permission of this Court to place on record the certificate of deposit of the awarded amount from the office of Assistant Labour Commissioner, Jammu. However, after the filing of the aforesaid application, the appellant has not appeared before this Court to pursue the said application as well.

On the last two consecutive dates of hearing, there was no representation on behalf of the appellant. Today also, when the matter is called, there is no representation on his behalf. It appears that the appellant has lost interest in prosecution of this appeal.

Accordingly, the appeal is dismissed for non prosecution along with connected applications.
