ORDER

30.12.2022

The petitioner lodged a criminal complaint against respondent nos. 2 & 3 for commission of offences punishable under Sections 465, 467, 468, 471, 420 IPC, alleging therein that some forged documents along with affidavit were prepared by impersonating his presence and submitted before the Tehsildar and Naib Tehsildar Surankote for attestation.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that since no action was taken by the Senior Superintendent of Police Crime Branch, Jammu against respondent no. 2 in the complaint filed by the petitioner, as such, he filed complaint before learned Sub-Judge Surankote, which came to be forwarded to the concerned Police Station in terms of Section 156 (3) CrPC. It is contended that till date no report with regard to the status of the investigation has been filed by the concerned Police Station before learned Sub-Judge Surankote.

Be that as it may, this petition, at the request of learned counsel for the petitioner, is disposed of with a direction to the SHO, Police Station Surankote to file status of the investigation with regard to the complaint of the petitioner in the concerned Court positively within a period of two weeks from the date a copy of this order is served upon him.
