BARIN GHOSH, C.J. (Oral)

University prevented the appellants from appearing in the third semester in view of not attending the minimum number of classes during the semester. This action having been challenged in a writ petition, the same has been dismissed. We have not bee able to take a different view, as nothing can be done contrary to the binding Rules. Learned counsel for the appellants submitted that the appellants be permitted to appear atleast in one examination, so that they may be promoted to the next semester. Since it has not been shown that the Rules permit the same, we are unable to do any thing. The appeal fails and the same is dismissed.
