1. Heard Mr. M.C. Pant, Advocate for the petitioner and Mr. Dinesh Gahtori, Standing Counsel for the State of Uttarakhand.

2. This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner challenging his suspension order. However, learned counsel for the petitioner while arguing this case has confined his case to the payment of subsistence allowance.

3. Admittedly, subsistence allowance is liable to be paid to a government employee under suspension, but during the period of suspension, subsistence allowance was not given to the petitioner. Therefore, the respondent no. 2 is directed to immediately give the subsistence allowance to the petitioner along with entire arrears, preferably within a period of two months from the date of production of certified copy of this order.

4. With the aforesaid direction, the instant writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.
