The petitioner is a registered association of law students. The petitioner has filed this writ petitionchallenging the examination schedule published by theUniversity of Kerala. The complaint of the petitioner isthat as per the examination schedule the LLBexaminations are scheduled to be conducted on dailybasis without giving any break in between. According to the petitioner, a break is given only after twoexaminations which are scheduled on consecutive days. The present schedule puts the students to a lot ofinconvenience and trouble. Therefore, the petitionerseeks the issue of a writ of mandamus or some otherappropriate writ, order or direction to change theexamination schedule in such a manner as to have eachexamination conducted on alternate days.

2. I notice that the petitioner organisation is not seeking to enforce any legal right of theirs. The WP (C) No. 38746 of 2010

2

petitioner's organization does not have any right to claimthat the examinations should be scheduled and conductedon alternate days. It is for the University, the expertbody, to schedule and conduct the examinations in amanner that is deemed fit and proper by it. In suchacademic matters it is not at all desirable for this Courtto interfere and give directions so as to upset the entireexamination schedule. I find no merit in this writ petition.Accordingly, the same is dismissed.

K.SURENDRAMOHAN,
