ORDER

The only prayer in this petition is for a direction to the court concerned to consider the bail application to be filedby the petitioner on the date of his surrender in the light ofthe decision reported in Sukumari v. State of Kerala (2001(1)K.L.T. 22).

2. The petitioner stands accused of having committed offences punishable under Sections 55(i) and 67(B)of the Kerala Abkari Act. It is unnecessary to go into thedetails of the case for the simple reason that the relief soughtfor is very limited.

After having given anxious consideration to the various aspects, this petition is disposed of directing the courtconcerned to consider and pass orders on the bail applicationto be filed by the petitioner on the date of surrender itself.
