Hon’ble P.C. Verma, J.

By means of present writ petition under Article 226 of the constitution, the petitioners have prayed for issue of a writ of mandamus to command the respondents to appoint the petitioners regular collection peons under 50% quota to be filled from amongst the seasonal collection Peons who have worked for more than four faslis.

as

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petit- oners are Seasonal collection peons and in view of the Govt. order dated 08.1.1996 they have also worked for four faslis and, therefore, they were entitled to be considered in view of the said G.O.

If this fact is correct and the petitioners are eligible according to rule, the respondents are directed to consider the case of the petitioners for appointment as regular collection peons under 50% quota to be filled up from amo- ngst the Seasonal Collection peons within a period of one month from the date of production of a certif- ied copy of this order. The petiti-oners shall be allowed to continue till their case for appointment as regular collection peons is considered, if work and posts are available.

With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition is disposed of finally.
