Uttarakhand High Court

WRIT PETITION 616 of 2006 on 31 December 2012

WPSS No. 616 of 2006

Hon’ble Kalyan Jyoti Sengupta, J.

Mr. B.D. Upadhyaya, Senior Advocate assisted by Ms. Jyoti Joshi, Advocate for the petitioner.

Mr. Subhash Upadhyaya, Standing Counsel for the State.

It appears from the records that the petitioner despite having been selected as a suitable candidate for appointment to the post of Class-IV staff, no action for appointment has been taken because of financial ban having been imposed by the Government. It is submitted by both the learned counsel for the parties that ban has been lifted in the year 2004. I think now time is ripe for taking decision by the respondents.

Therefore, I direct the respondents authority to take decision on the question of appointment of the petitioner within eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

The writ petition is disposed of.

No order as to costs.

Dated 31.12.2012

Shiv

(K.J. Sengupta, J.)
