The Executive Engineer & Administrative Officer, Tamil Nadu Housing Board,Salem Housing Unit,Ayyan Thirumaligai Road,Salem,Salem District. ..Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of theConstitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus,directing the respondent to consider the petitionersrepresentation dated 02.08.2017 in accordance with law.For Petitioner :Mr.M.Sathish KumarFor Respondent :Mr.V.Anandhamurthy The writ petitioner's father was allotted the subject houseon rental basis. The allotment was made way back in January2000. The writ petitioner's father passed away on 16.10.2016. Itappears that a sum of Rs.50,100/- (Rupees Fifty thousand and Onehundred only) was in arrears, the writ petitioner has shown hisbonafide by remitting a sum of Rs.30,000/- (Rupees Thirtythousand only) so far. The writ petitioner undertakes to clearthe balance amount within a period of eight weeks in twoinstalments. The writ petitioner has given representation dated02.08.2017 for allotting the said house in his favour in theplace of his father.
2. The respondent herein is directed to consider the saidrepresentation on merits and in accordance with law and passappropriate order within a period of twelve weeks from the dateof receipt of a copy of this order.
