PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec.438 of Cr.P.C

PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No.20/2020 on the file ofthe respondent police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and thelearned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

2. The petitioner apprehending arrest at the hands of therespondent police for the offences punishable under sections 8(c)r/w 20 (b), (ii) (B) of NDPS Act in Crime No.20 of 2020 on the fileof the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

3.Reading of the FIR it shows that the petitioner viz.,Subbammal and other accused persons traveled from Theni toTirunelveli having package of Ganja. Accused Palani and oneDuraipandi were arrested. According to the petitioner, she was notat all present in the place of occurrence. Only on the basis of thealleged confession statement made by the co-accused, the petitionerarrayed as accused. Serious allegations have leveled against thehttps://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/petitioner and as per the information furnished by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, it is seen that totally six cases,which are all also similar to that of this nature, were filedagainst the petitioner.

4.Considering the antecedent of the petitioner and the natureof the allegation leveled against her, this Court is not inclined togrant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, theCriminal Original Petition is dismissed.
