ORDER:(Per Hon’ble Sri Justice A.Gopal Reddy)

The mother of the alleged detenu-D.Rambabu filed this writpetition alleging that her son was taken away by the Jubilee HillsPolice on 7.12.2007 at 2.00 p.m. and since then he has been illegallydetained in the said police Station and the police are not permitting herand her relatives to meet the alleged detenu and are coercing to meetthe demands of Ms.Leena, though no crime is registered against him.

In the counter affidavit filed by the first respondent, it is statedthat the alleged detenu and one Ms.Leena are residing at DurgaBhavani Nagar, Film Nagar, Hyderabad and they were brought to the police station on 22.12.2007 at 5.30 p.m. and on enquiry, it came tolight that they married on 12.12.2007 at Chemma Church, Film Nagar,Hyderabad in the presence of their caste elders and they are residingat Durga Bhavani Nagar, Film Nagar and the alleged detenu wasnever illegally detained.

Both the alleged detenu and his wife Ms.Leena are present inthe court today. The alleged detenu stated that since his wifeMs.Leena lodged a complaint with the police, he was called to thepolice station and after enquiry he was let off and was never detainedby the police. In view of the statement of the alleged detenu, we do not seeany merit in the writ petition and the same is accordingly dismissed. No costs.
