ORDER:

WRIT PETITION NO.28056 OF 2005

The petitioner allegedly purchased an extent of Ac.3.15 gts. in S.No.337 ofNizampet Village, Qutbullpur Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, under an unregisteredsale deed. As required under Rule 22(2) of the A.P. Rights in Land and PattadarPass Books Rules, 1989, a person seeking regularization of sale under anunregistered document was required to file an application before the MandalRevenue Officer on or before 31.10.1998. The petitioner did not file any suchapplication. However, pursuant to amendment made to Rule 22(2) of the Rules videNotification issued in G.O.Ms.No.1765, dt.6.10.2005, the petitioner allegedly madean application on 10.11.2005 seeking regularization and issue of pattadar passbooks. Alleging that the same was not considered by the Mandal Revenue Officer, present Writ Petition is filed.

After hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned AssistantGovernment Pleader for Revenue (General), and having regard to the amendmentmade to Rule 22(2) of the Rules, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing theMandal Revenue Officer to consider the application made by the petitioner on10.11.2005 – if such application is already made – and pass appropriate orderswithin a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

The Writ Petition with the above observations and directions is accordingly disposedof.
