ORAL ORDER:

(Per the Hon’ble Sri Justice P.Swaroop Reddy)

This writ petition is taken up on the basis of acomplaint lodged by one Smt. Gantla Siva Parvathi wife ofG.Rambabu, who is working as Police Constable, allegingthat on 31.3.2006, one Md. Ali, resident of Dornakalvillage, Warangal District, kidnapped her daughter byname Ms. Radhika, in the name of love. It is further statedthat though she gave complaint, the police are not takingproper action. It is also stated that the love letters andphotographs of the girl are being shown to one and all, causing embarrassment to the family. She, ultimately, requests to direct the concerned to trace out the girl.

In response to the notices issued by this court, theInspector of Police, Yellandu Circle filed counter affidavitstating that on the complaint lodged by the petitionerherein, a case in Cr. No. 34 of 2006 for the offences underSec. 365, 323, 346 r/w 34 IPC was registered and is beinginvestigated and they are taking all steps to trace out themissing girl by name Ms. Radhika.

As the police are taking appropriate steps and thecase is still under investigation, we feel nothing can bedone except directing the police to expedite theinvestigation, in an acceptable and decent manner viz.,without disclosing the love letters to the public, as part of investigation.

With this direction, the writ petition is disposed of. Noorder as to cost.
