ORDER :

This criminal petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. by thepetitioners/A.2 to A.4 seeking to quash the proceedings in crimeNo.166 of 2009 of Women Police Station, Begumpet North Zone,Secunderabad, registered for the offence punishable under Section498A I.P.C. and Sections 4 and 6 of Dowry Prohibition Act.

2) Heard.

3) The allegations leveled against the petitioners are ofharassing the defacto complainant physically and mentally foradditional dowry.

4) A reading of the complaint reveals involvement of all theaccused in harassing the complainant for additional dowry. Therefore,at this stage, even before completion of investigation, proceedingsagainst the petitioners cannot be quashed as their involvement in theoffence has to be deeply investigated into. Hence, it is premature to entertain this petition.

5) However, considering the circumstance that most of theallegations in the complaint are against the husband and mother-in-law of the complainant only, it is directed that petitioner Nos.2 and 3shall not be arrested till filing of charge sheet, if any. The investigationand consequential steps on the basis of investigation can go on.

6) Accordingly, the criminal petition is disposed of.
