ORDER:
The petitioner is an employee of New India Assurance Company Limited. Throughhis order, dated 20-06-2005, the second respondent removed the petitioner fromservice on disciplinary grounds. The petitioner claims that he preferred an appealbefore the first respondent on 15-09-2005. His grievance is that the appeal was notattended to, and he is put to great hardship. He seeks direction to the firstrespondent to dispose of the appeal at the earliest.
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel forthe respondents.
The petitioner availed the remedy of appeal, before the first respondent, aggrievedby the order of removal passed by the second respondent. Inasmuch as thepetitioner is out of service on account of order of removal passed by the secondrespondent, the appeal preferred by him before the first respondent, needs to bedisposed of, without loss of time.
Hence, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the first respondent to passappropriate orders, on the appeal preferred by the petitioner, within a period of threemonths from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No order as to costs.
