THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE N.V. RAMANAW.P. No. 7157 of 2003

Oral order:

The petitioners assailing the action of the respondents in notselecting and appointing them as Sub-Engineer and LDC respectivelyfiled the present writ petition.

When the writ petition is taken up for hearing, neither thepetitioners nor their counsel are present nor is there any representationon their behalf. However, the learned Standing Counsel for therespondents submitted that grievance of the petitioners in the writpetition is that the respondents have not passed any speaking orderswith regard to their non-selection, and that this Court disposed ofseveral writ petitions with similar grievance with a direction to therespondents to pass speaking orders with respect to non-selection.

In the circumstances, I deem it appropriate to dispose of the writpetition with the following directions:

The respondents are directed to pass appropriate speakingorders with respect to non-selection and appointment of the petitioners,if not already passed, within a period of six weeks from the date ofreceipt of a copy of this order.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
