ORDER:-

The petitioner is A.1 in Cr.No.472 of 2012 of WPS, CCS,Hyderabad, registered for the offences under Sections 498-A and 406of I.P.C. and Sections 4 and 6 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

The accusation made against the petitioner is that he along withother accused harassed the complainant – Smt.Farheen Fatima on theground of additional dowry. The further accusation against thepetitioner is that he developed intimacy with one woman andproclaimed that he could not live without her and would marry her.

Heard learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and learnedAdditional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent-State.

It is contended by the learned Counsel appearing for thepetitioner that the petitioner is pursuing his own business and if he isarrested, there is every likelihood of his business being affected. It isalso contended by him that the petitioner has not harassed thecomplainant at any point of time and all the accusations against thepetitioner are invented by the complainant to see that the petitioner isarrested and his image is tarnished.

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for therespondent-State opposed the petition on the ground that investigationis pending.

The petitioner along with other accused approached the VII-Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge, Hyderabad, for grant ofanticipatory bail. The learned Metropolitan Sessions Judge havingtaken note of the specific accusations against the petitioner herein, proceeded to dismiss the petition with regard to the petitioner whileconsidering the petition in respect of other accused by order dated 21- 11-2012. I have gone through the complaint presented bySmt.Farheen Fatima. Various instances of harassments attributable tothe petitioner have been narrated in the complaint. In that view of thematter, I am inclined not to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, Criminal Petition is dismissed.
