ORDER:

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner/A-1 and thelearned Additional Public Prosecutor representing the State.

This criminal petition is filed under Section 438 of the Code of CriminalProcedure seeking anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

The petitioner/A-1 is the government teacher. It is alleged that he andhis wife on the pretext of proving government jobs, received an amount ofRs.2,40,000/- from the de facto complainant, but failed to provide anyemployment to him and his wife. When the de facto complainant insisted forjobs, the petitioner executed the promissory note for an amountofRs.2,00,000/- and gave a cheque for an amount of Rs.40,000/-.Subsequently, the cheque issued by the petitioner was dishonored.

Since the allegations attract the offence punishable under Section 420of IPC, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Hence, the petition is dismissed.
