JUDGMENT:(Per Hon’ble Ms.Justice G.Rohini)
This is an appeal filed under Section 54 of the Land AcquisitionAct, 1894 (for short, ‘the Act’) by Singareni Collieries Company Limited assailing the order dated 24-11-2000 in O.P.No.23 of 1994 passed bythe Court of the Senior Civil Judge, Peddapalli on a reference madeunder Section 18 of the Act.
By order dated 17-10-2011, this court referred the matter to theSecretary, A.P.High Court Legal Services Authority for settling thematter and accordingly, the papers were transmitted to the LegalServices Authority.
When the matter is taken up for consideration, it is brought to ournotice by Sri K.Srinivasa Murthy, the learned counsel appearing for theSingareni Collieries Company Limited that an award was passed bythe Lok Adalat on 12-07-2012 in terms of the settlement entered intobetween the parties to the appeal and a copy of the same has beenplaced before us.
Accordingly, the Appeal is disposed of in terms of the awardpassed by the Lok Adalat, dated 12-07-2012. No costs. Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Appealshall stand closed.
