In the present petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C., thepetitioners seek directions to provide protection to their lives and libertyfrom the private respondents No.4 to 7, who are stated to be relatives ofpetitioner No.1.
It is pleaded that petitioners have got married on 26.12.2017 inGurudwara Guru Nanak Niwas Sahib, village Karror Kalan, Tehsil Kharar,District Mohali. Marriage certificate is appended as Annexure P-3 and thephotographs of the marriage have been appended as Annexure P-4. It isfurther submitted that the date of birth of petitioners are 06.01.1994 and06.07.1990 respectively. In respect of age proof, photocopies of AadharCards of both the petitioners are appended as Annexures P-1 and P-2respectively.
A representation dated 26.12.2017 (Annexure P-5) forprotection has been filed with respondent No.2 in this regard and resultantlythis Court has been approached, Notice of motion.
On the asking of the Court, Mr. Suveer Sheokand, Addl. A.G,Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the official CRM-M-50109-of 2017

After hearing counsel for the parties, without commenting uponthe validity/legality of the marriage or the age of the petitioners and keepingin view the binding precedent of the Hon'ble Apex Court in.Lata Singh\V.State of U.P. And another; 2006 (2) SCC (Criminal) 478, the presentpetition is disposed of with direction to respondents No.2 and 3 to look intothe above said representation filed by the petitioners and take appropriateaction in accordance with law and provide protection, if so required.
