HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAJASHEKER REDDY WRIT PETITION No.30570 OF 2012
ORDER:
This petition is filed for a writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not considering the case of the petitioner for promotion as Assistant Engineer in the first instance and as Deputy executive Engineer thereafter, as illegal and arbitrary and for a consequential direction to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Assistant Engineer and Deputy Executive Engineer subsequently with all the consequential benefits.
This Court while admitting the writ petition granted interim direction on 28.09.2012, which reads as follows; “There shall be a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner’s case for promotion as Assistant Engineer, as per his eligibility in accordance with the Rules.”
In pursuance of the aforesaid interim direction, no counter affidavit is filed.
Heard Sri Buchi Reddy, learned Standing Counsel for respondent Corporation (Telangana) and learned Government Pleader for Housing.
Since, the relief sought in the writ petition and WPMP is one and same, writ petition is disposed of in terms of the interim order dated 28.09.2012. If petitioner has any grievance in respect of selection, it is open for him to take appropriate remedy. No order as to costs.
As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, in the writ petition, shall stand closed.
