ORAL ORDER:

This writ petition is filed seeking a Mandamus declaring theaction of the respondent in seeking to seize the plant and machinery ofthe petitioner without the disputes being adjudicated and decided by acompetent body, as arbitrary and illegal.

This Court, while ordering notice before admission on30.11.2000, granted status quo existing as on that date for a period ofone week. Thereafter, said order was extended on 15.12.2000 for aperiod of two weeks and further extended on 29.12.2000 for a furtherperiod of four weeks and thereafter nothing had happened insofar asinterlocutory application is concerned.

Now the learned counsel for petitioner states that even beforefiling the writ petition, plant and machinery of the petitioner was seizedand petitioner was already evicted.

In view of the above, nothing remains for adjudication in the writpetition. However, the petitioner is at liberty to workout its remedies asavailable under law. The petitioner is also at liberty to approach theauthorities for amicable settlement in this regard.

The writ petition is accordingly closed. No order as to costs.
