ORDER:

The petitioner, whose request for issuance of a caste certificatewas rejected by the respondent, filed this writ petition for a Mandamusto direct the respondent to issue a caste certificate showing him aseither belonging to Scheduled Caste or B.C-D community.

From the averments contained in the affidavit, it is evident thatthe petitioner approached the respondent for issuance of a castecertificate to enable him to join in one of the courses following hisappearance in EAMCET-2002. Almost seven years had elapsed fromthe time of the filing of the writ petition. The proceeding sheet showsthat no interim order has been granted. As the duration of all thecourses, in which the petitioner proposed to join, has already expired,no relief can be granted to the petitioner at this stage.

The writ petition is, therefore, dismissed as infructuous withliberty to the petitioner to avail appropriate remedy, if and when herequires a caste certificate in future.
