ORDER :

1. Having regard to the request of Sri A.K.Jayaprakash Rao, learned counsel appearing for thepetitioner to direct completion of disciplinary enquiry thathas been initiated against the petitioner within a timeframe, this writ petition is disposed of at the admissionstage as per the consent of both the learned counsel.

2. The petitioner is a driver working in the APSRTC. He has been placed under suspension by reason of theimpugned order, dated 19.12.2013, on the ground that hewas found in a drunken condition at the work place on26.11.2013. The petitioner denies the allegation andsubmits that the truth will come out if an enquiry isconducted in a fair manner. The petitioner, therefore,submits that a direction be issued for expeditiousconclusion of the enquiry within a time frame.

3. Sri K. Srinivasa Rao, learned Standing Counsel whohas taken notice on behalf of the respondents, has noobjection to grant such a limited direction.

4. In view of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed ofwithout disturbing the impugned order and without expressing any opinion on the merits, directing thesecond respondent – Depot Manager to conclude enquiryand pass final orders in the matter, as expeditiously aspossible, preferably within a period of four (4) weeks fromthe date of the receipt of a copy of this order. Thepetitioner shall co-operate with the enquiry. No order as tocosts.

5. In view of the disposal of the Writ Petition,W.P.M.P.No.48416 of 2013 is dismissed as unnecessary.
