ORDER:
The petitioner was awarded a contract for construction ofadditional infrastructure facilities at Zilla Parishad High School,Kothaveedhi, Devipatnam Mandal, East Godavari District. Thetotal value of the work is Rs.18,73,915/-. The petitioner was paida sum of Rs.16,33,375/-. Though the proposals were mooted forpayment of balance also, the Pay and Accounts Officer is said tohave stopped the bill for want of additional sanction. This writpetition is filed alleging that the respondents are not releasing theamount so far.
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learnedGovernment Pleader for Social Welfare.
From the material placed before this Court, it is evident thatthe administrative sanction was accorded only for Rs.17.55 lakhsin respect of the work entrusted to the petitioner. Since the rateswere revised, additional sanction became necessary. The matteris already pending with the Government for additional sanction.Therefore, it cannot be said that there was any default on the partof the respondents.
Hence, the writ petition is disposed of, directing therespondents to pursue the matter with the Government foradditional sanction and release the amount as soon as thesanction is accorded. There shall be no order as to costs.
