ORDER:
HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE P. NAVEEN RAO
WRIT PETITION No. 37719 of 2013
The first petitioner bar and restaurant was established by second petitioner, having obtained due permissions and license. On 6.12.2012 firstpetitioner submitted a representation to the second respondent under Section21 (F) of the City Police Act for grant of permission to play music in the firstpetitioner bar and restaurant. Petitioners claim that so far no orders arepassed on the said representation and on account of the inaction on the partof the respondents, grave prejudice is caused to the petitioners.
Sri M Surender Rao, learned senior counsel submits that suchpermissions were granted earlier to bars and restaurants to play music andthere is no justification to deny the same to the petitioners.
Matter requires consideration by the competent authority and havingregard to the submissions made by the learned senior counsel appearing forpetitioners, the writ petition is disposed of directing the second respondent topass appropriate orders as warranted by law as early as possible on therepresentation of the petitioners dated 6.12.2012, if the same is still pending, seeking permission to play the music in the first petitioner bar and restaurantand communicate the same to the petitioners. No costs.
Sequel to the same, miscellaneous petitions, if any stand dismissed.
