ORDER:

The main grievance of the petitioner in this writ petition is that he filed an applicationon 25.01.2002 before the 2[nd] respondent-Assistant Director of Mines and Geology,Tekkali seeking prospecting licence for quarrying of colour granite over an extent of1.00 Hectare in Survey No.117/1 of Meelasativada village, Tekkali Mandal,Srikakulam District, but, so far the same is not being considered. Hence, he filed thepresent writ petition.

Heard the learned counsel for petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Minesand Geology. Both counsel agreed for disposal of the writ petition at the stage ofadmission.

Since the application of the petitioner dated 25.01.2002 is said to be pendingconsideration before the respondents, without going into the merits of the matter, Ideem it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the respondentsto consider the same and pass appropriate orders thereon in accordance with law, expeditiously, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of acopy of this order.

With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of at the stage of admission. No costs.
