The appellant has filed the present appeal challenging the orders dated 07.05.2026 passed by the respondent under section 14B and section 7Q of the Employees Provident Fund & Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952 (hereinafter referred as 'the Act') whereby the amount of Rs.11,98,194/- had been assessed as damages and the amount of Rs.09,41,496/- was assessed as interest liability of payable by the appellant. The office has reported the delay in filing the appeal for which the appellant has filed the application for condonation of delay in filing of the appeal.

Notice of the appeal and the application for condonation of delay in filing of the appeal be issued to the respondent for 31.07.2026.

In the meantime, the respondent shall not take any coercive steps to recover the amounts due under the impugned orders till the next date of hearing.
