The appellant has filed the present appeal under section 7-I of the Employees Provident Fund & Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952 (for short the “EPF Act”) challenging the order dated 15.04.2025 passed by the respondent under section 7-A of the EPF Act directing the appellant to deposit the outstanding EPF dues of Rs. 55,04,412/- with the respondent. As reported by the office the appeal is not within time. Accordingly, the appellant has filed an application seeking condonation of delay in filing of the present appeal.

Ld. counsel for the respondent accepts notice on behalf of the respondent. Case is adjourned to 19.08.2026 for filing of reply to the application for condonation of delay and to the main appeal.

In the meantime, the respondent shall not take any coercive steps to recover any amounts under the impugned order up to the next date of hearing.
