The appellant has filed the present appeal challenging the order dated 26.12.2023 passed under section 7- A of the Employees Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952 (hereinafter referred to as “the EPF Act”) passed by the respondent wherein an amount of Rs.61,67,851/- is assessed as EPF dues.

As reported by the office, the present appeal is within the period of the prescribed limitation. An application has been filed by the appellant seeking condonation of delay in the filing of the present appeal.

An email message from Sh. Manu Parashar, learned counsel for the respondent has been received praying that the present case be listed for tomorrow due to his absence today on account of his leg-injury. Adjourned to 07.04.2026 for filing of reply to the condonation application of the appellant by the respondent.

In the meantime, the respondent shall not take any coercive steps to recover the amounts under the impugned order from the appellant till next date of hearing.
