Present: Sh. Rochit Abhishek, Proxy for the Appellant.

None for the Respondent. Order Dated-08.10.2025

Proxy counsel for the appellant seeks adjournment stating that the matter is likely to be listed before the Punjab & Haryana High Court on 06.02.2026.

Record perused. This is an appeal filed by the appellant against the order dated 19.04.2022 passed u/s 14B of the EPF & MP Act, 1952 (hereinafter referred as the Act). Appellant has preferred a writ petition before Hon’ble Punjab & Haryana High Court against the order passed by this tribunal whereby his appeal challenging the order passed u/s 7A of the Act was dismissed.

It is contention of the ld. Counsel for the appellant that if the writ petition preferred by him challenging the order passed u/s 7A of the Act is decided in his favour, then it will affect the demand raised under section 14B and 7Q of the Act as the damages and interest are levied for the same period for which the dues were assessed u/s 7A of the Act. He further request to list the case after the hearing before Punjab & Haryana High Court. Let this matter be listed for 16.03.2026.

Later, Sh. B.B. Pradhan, ld. counsel for the respondent appeared at 03:00 P.M. and noted the next date of hearing.
