1. None appears for the petitioner.
2. This PIL was filed in the year 2012 seeking the following reliefs:- "I. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding the opposite party no. 8 to lodge a criminal case and conduct preliminary enquiry in the matter of corruption/scam of registration of fake/non-existent farmers and siphoning off of public money in their name by the opposite party nos. 1 to 7, prevalent in the opposite party nos. 1, 2 and 5 and ascertain liability followed by full fledged investigation and thereafter launch prosecution against the culprits in appropriate Court of Law; or in alternative,
II. Issue a writ, order or direction of appropriate nature constituting a high powered Committee, comprising of the persons of uncompromising morals whom this Hon’ble Court deems fit, to probe the issue of corruption of registration of fake/non-existent farmers and siphoning off of public money in their name by the opposite party nos. 1 to 7 and thereafter institute appropriate criminal/disciplinary action against those found involved."
3. Counter affidavits have been filed. Shri Ajit Singh, the counsel appearing for the State of U.P. informs us that there were 13 accused, out of which 3 accused namely, Surendra Pratap Singh, Bharat Prasad and A.K. Chand died during investigation. In respect of two of the accused namely, Chandra Kishor Mishra and Ramesh Chandra Goyal, sanction Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : S.M.Royekwar, P.Chakravarty Counsel for Respondent(s) : G.A., Bireshwar Nath, V.P.Nag Anand Singh .....Petitioner(s) State Of U.P.Through Agriculture Lko.And Ors. .....Respondent(s)
was not granted by the State Government. As regards the remaining 8 accused namely, Saurabh Agarwal, Mohd. Ahmad, Chhedi Prasad, Nilesh Chandra Goyal, Subroto Chatterji, Ramayan, Devendra Pal Singh, Ashok Kumar Gupta and Tariq Zamir, charge-sheet has been filed on 19.06.2025.
4. In view of the aforesaid developments, nothing remains to be done in this PIL as, now the trial court would be proceeding in the matter as per law.
