1. Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned State counsel for opposite parties.
2. The present petition has been filed seeking the following main relief:- “(i) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding the opposite party No.1 i.e. Principal Secretary/Additional Chief Secretary, Home (Police Anubhag-1), Uttar Pradesh Government, Lucknow to take decision on the representation dated 08.10.2025 filed by the petitioner before him, under the provision of Rule 23(C) of the Uttar Pradesh Police Officers of the Subordinate Rank (Punishment and Appeal) Rules, 1991, within stipulated time period.”
3. In view of prayer so made, Opposite Party no.1 i.e. Principal Secretary/ Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Home, U. P. Civil Secretariat, Lucknow is directed to take a decision on petitioner's representation expeditiously within a period of six weeks from the date a certified copy of this order is produced before the concerned authority.
