Ravi Prasad, learned Senior Counsel assisted by Sri Umesh Chandra P.V.G, learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Government Pleader for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, learned Government Pleader for Panchayat Raj and Sri N. 2. The grievance of the petitioner in the instant Writ Petition is against the action of the 3rd respondent in issuing the notification/schedule dated 14.10.2026 for the conduct of elections to the Urban Local Bodies/ Municipalities in the State of Andhra Pradesh by fixing three to four days for filing of nominations (from 16.10.2026 to 18.10.2026) instead of allowing the maximum period of six days, atleast upto as 20.10.2026 permissible under Section 33 of the Andhra Pradesh Municipal Corporations Act, 1994 (and the corresponding Rules for Municipalities). Consequently, the petitioner sought to direct the 3rd Respondent to extend the period for filing of nominations up to the maximum of six days or such further reasonable period as may be necessary until the caste/community certificates and No-Dues/NOC certificates are issued to all eligible applicants, and further direct the Respondents to issue the said certificates forthwith by manual or offline mode
