LISA GILL, CJ: Learned counsel for petitioner submits that in view of subsequent development of appointments being made to posts of Chairperson, Member (Judicial), Member (Non-Judicial) of Andhra Pradesh State Human Rights Commission; and Lokayuktha, cause of action as such does not survive, however, he submits that unnecessary delay has been caused in the

wppil_182_2024 appointments despite judgment of Hon’ble Supreme Court in D.K. Basu v. State of West Bengal1.

2. Learned counsel for respondents submits that delay is neither willful nor due to any negligence.

3. Parties are ad idem that cause of action in these matters no longer subsists and proceedings may be closed.

4. Ordered accordingly. Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.

Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed.
