ORDER :-
This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 Cr.P.C., has been filed by the petitioners/A2 to A5, seeking to quash the proceedings in Crime No.142 of 2019 of Gollapalem Police Station, East Godavari District.
2. Today, when the matter is taken up, the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor has produced written instructions furnished by the Sub-Inspector of Police, Gollapalem Police Station, stating that the police have filed charge sheet and the case has been numbered as S.C. No. 171 of 2020 on the file of the Court of the Special Judge for Speedy Trial of Offences under the POCSO Act, Kakinada. It is further stated that, after full-fledged trial, the said case ended in conviction by judgment dated 31.07.2024.
3. In view of the said statement, the cause in the Criminal Petition does not survive for further adjudication.
4. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed as infructuous.
As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition shall stand closed.
