ORDER :-

This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 Cr.P.C., has been filed by the petitioners, seeking to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.136 of 2016 on the file of the learned Additional Junior Civil Judge, Chirala.

2. As seen from the record, the present criminal petition was filed by Sri Nimmagadda Satyanarayana, learned counsel. However, the registry due to oversight printed the name of Smt. G. Jahanavi, learned counsel, in the cause list as the counsel for the petitioner. Consequently, the matter was passed over in the morning session. At about 2:15 p.m., Sri P. Naga Raju, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Sri Nimmagadda Satyanarayana, learned counsel for the petitioners, appeared before this Court and stated that by mistake registry has showed the name of Smt.G.Jahanavi, instead of Sri Nimmagadda Satyanarayana.

3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners states that the main case was ended in acquittal. As such, the cause in the Criminal Petition does not survive for further adjudication.

4. Recording the said statement, the Criminal Petition is dismissed as infructuous.

As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition shall stand closed.
