The Court made the following order:

The grievance of the petitioners is that, despite having submitted their objections by way of a written representation dated 01.06.2025, which was sent through Registered Post, respondent No.1 granted permission under Section 164 of the Electricity Act, 2003, vide Gazette Notification dated 12.09.2025, based on the false affidavit submitted by respondent Nos.5 and 6, wherein they stated that no objections/representations were received by them within two (2) months from the date of publication of the Notification dated 10.04.2025 in respect of the proposal to lay High Tension (High Voltage) transmission lines through the petitioners’ lands situated at Kolumulapalli Village, Chinthakommadine Mandal, YSR Kadapa District.

2. Heard Sri Subba Rao Korrapati, learned counsel for the petitioners, Smt Uma Devi, learned Central Government Counsel, Sri V.V.Satish, learned Standing Counsel for Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Energy Department.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioners, in elaboration to what has been stated in the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition, contended that the petitioners, along with some other villagers, submitted a representation dated 01.06.2025 to respondent No.5, which was sent through registered post, raising serious objections to the proposed laying of high-tension/high-voltage transmission lines within a distance of 10–15 feet from the agricultural lands of the petitioners situated at Kolumulapalli Village, Chinthakommadine Mandal. He further submitted that it would suffice if a direction is issued to the respondent authorities to consider and pass appropriate orders on the written objections submitted by the petitioners, in accordance with law. He further contended that, in similar circumstances, this Court, by order dated 03.09.2026 in Writ Petition No.24974 of 2026, disposed of the said Writ Petition and prayed to pass similar orders in the present case also.

4. To the said submissions, learned Central Government Counsel, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Energy Department and learned standing counsel for Transmission Corporation of India reported no objection.

5. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, and taking into consideration the submissions made by the learned counsel for the parties, as the relief sought by the petitioners is innocuous and the respondents have no objection in passing a similar order as was passed in Writ Petition No. 24974 of 2026, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, is inclined to dispose of the present Writ Petition at the admission stage itself, in terms of Writ Petition No. 24974 of 2026, by passing the following order:

(i) Respondent authorities concerned shall consider the objections/representation submitted by the petitioners dated 01.06.2025, which was sent through registered post, pursuant to the Publication dated 10.04.2025, along with the grievance raised by the petitioner in the affidavit filed in support of the present Writ Petition.

(ii) The authorities concerned shall afford an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners and other concerned parties, if necessary, and thereafter pass a reasoned order on the objections raised by the petitioners, strictly in accordance with law.

(iii) The aforesaid exercise shall be completed within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

(iv) Till the said exercise is completed, the respondent authorities shall not proceed with the laying of the High Tension (High Voltage) Transmission lines within 10-15 feet area from the agricultural lands of the petitioners situated at Kolumulapalli Village, Chinthakommadine Mandal, YSR Kadapa District.

6. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, interlocutory applications pending, if any in the Writ Petition, shall also stand closed. ____________________________ JUSTICE RAVI CHEEMALAPATI 22.09.2026
