The Court made the following Order:

Instant Criminal Petition, under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, has been filed on behalf of the petitioners herein (A1 to A3), seeking to quash the proceedings in FIR in Crime No.192 of 2024, of Vizianagaram Rural Police Station, Vizianagaram District, for the offences punishable under Sections 118(2), 115(2) read with 3(5) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor basing on the written instructions states that, pending the Criminal Petition, the police filed charge sheet and the same was numbered as CC No.2852 of 2024, on the file of the Court of the Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate, Vizianagaram and the same was settled before the Lok Adalat vide Award dated 08.03.2025 before the learned I Additional Civil Judge (Junior Division), Vizianagaram.

4. Accordingly, this Criminal Petition is closed, as the main case was settled before Lok Adalat on 08.03.2025 by the respective parties.
