CRIMINAL PETITION NO: 1381 of 2024 The Court made the following Order:
Instant Criminal Petition, under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, has been filed on behalf of the petitioners herein (A1 and A2), seeking to quash the proceedings in CC No.1248 of 2022 before the Principal Junior Civil Judge Court -cum- Judicial First Class Magistrate, Chodavaram, relating to Crime No.12 of 2022 on the file of Chodavaram Police Station for the offences punishable under Sections 324, 506, 509 r/w 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
2. At the stage of admission, this Court has not granted any interim order in the instant lis.
3. None represented for the petitioners.
4. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of respondent-State, basing on the written instructions, submits that the case against the accused Nos.1 and 2 is settled before Lok Adalat on 08.03.2025. He also furnished copy of Lok Adalat settlement, which shows that ‘case against the accused was compromised’. The same are made as part of record.
5. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is closed.
Interlocutory applications, if any, pending shall stand closed.
