CRIMINAL PETITION NO:462 of 2024

The Court made the following Order:

Instant Criminal Petition, under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, has been filed on behalf of the petitioners herein (A2 to A7), seeking to quash the proceedings in FIR in Crime No.185 of 2023, of Phirangiipuram Police Station, Guntur District, for the offences punishable under Section 498A IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor states that pending the Criminal Petition, Police filed Charge Sheet in the impugned Crime vide C.C.No.204 of 2026 on the file of the learned II Additional Junior Civil Judge, Narasaraopet and the same was settled before the Lok Adalat vide Award dated 14.03.2026 before the learned II Additional Junior Civil Judge, Narasaraopet.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioners has also not disputed the submission of learned Assistant Public Prosecutor.

4. Accordingly, this Criminal Petition is closed.

Interlocutory applications, if any, pending shall stand closed.
