ORDER

Office Note

30.07.2026 VN, J The present Writ Petition is filed seeking extension of services of the Petitioner to 62 years from 60 years. The Petitioner was appointed as a Part-time Bill Collector in the year 1986 in the Respondent Department, and he was extended the benefit of Minimum Time Scale vide Proceedings No.A4/e- 1522332/2018-54, dated 00-06.2020. Thereafter, the Petitioner was appointed as a full-time Bill Collector in Polavaram Grampanchayathi. It is stated that the Respondent Authorities are proposing to retire the Petitioner from service on attaining the age of 60 years instead of extending the benefit of the enhanced age of retirement up to 62 years. Hence, the present Writ Petition. Heard learned counsel. As the Petitioner is being treated akin to a Government employee and having been in service since 1986, he is entitled to the benefit of the enhanced age of retirement up to 62 years. Therefore, there shall be an interim direction as under:

(i) The Respondent Authorities are directed to continue the services of the Petitioner till he attains the age of 62 years, pending further orders. Post this matter along with W.P. No. 13405 of 2026. ______
