ORDER:-
The learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that the petitioner was entrusted with the works viz., I) Raising of compound wall at 4th Pemmadarivari Street to Anjaneswamy Temple at 14th Division, Agreement No. 150/2022-2023, Dated 14.07.2022 (Rs.6,84,894/-); (II) Providing CC Drains and RCC Culverts at Kamala vari street in 16th Division ,Agreement No.151/2022-23,Date14.07.2023 (Rs.8,40,791/-); (III) Providing internal CC Roads from D.No.16-17-160/2 to 16-14-85 at Tarakarama Nagar, Dummulapeta in 10th Division, Kakinada Municipal Corporation, Agreement No. 284/2022-2023, dated 30.12.2022 (Rs.8,21,180/-); (IV) Providing Walking track filling painting to compound wall and kerb wall and benches for 7 hills park and compound wall repair work and painting to compound wall for sagar welfare park of 8th Division, Agreement No.61/EE-l/2023-24, Dated 04.08.2023 (Rs.8,86,827/-), (V) Construction of CC road and C.C Drain from D.No.62-10-95/F TO 62-10-90/9 Satyavedha Colony in 20th Division, Agreement No.147/2022-2023, dated 02.02.2023 (Rs. 9,14,163/-) Division , Agreementincolony 23,Date 14.07.2022(Rs.8,30,871/-) ,VI. 2. It is submitted that the Petitioner had completed the works entrusted to him and that the competent authority of the respondents had approved the payment due and payable to the Petitioner. The Respondents have also recorded the progress of the works and the amounts due and payable to the petitioner in the M-Book.
3. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the Petitioner, the learned Government Pleader for Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department, Sri M.Krishna Rao, learned Standing Counsel for the Respondent No.2, and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Finance and Planning.
4. During the course of hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the Respondent Municipal Corporation submits that the works have been completed and that the Petitioner has also submitted the final bills and the amounts due and payable to the Petitioner have been duly admitted. It is submitted that further funds are awaited and that, soon after the release of the funds, the bills due and payable to the Petitioner shall be cleared.
5. Recording the submissions, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage, directing the respondents to verify and release the payments due and payable to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
6. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
