2. GP FOR SOCIAL WELFARE

3. GP FOR FINANCE PLANNING

The Court made the following order:

Heard Sri P.Badrinath, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Social Welfare appearing for respondents.

2. The grievance of the petitioner in the instant writ petition is against the action of the respondents in not reimbursing the tuition fee for the academic years 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 in terms of G.O.Ms.No.81 dated 07.05.2019 and G.O.Ms.No.115 dated 30.11.2019.

3. It is stated that the petitioner is a private unaided college and the students who are eligible for scholarships are admitted to the petitioner- college through the Social Welfare Department. It is contended that the tuition fee payable by such students is being liable to be reimbursed by the Social Welfare Department to the petitioner-college. Therefore, the petitioner is entitled to receive the reimbursement.

4. The respondents are supposed to reimburse the tuition fee payable to the students allotted through the Social Welfare Department. Despite the eligibility of the students, the tuition fee has not been reimbursed to the petitioner. The petitioner has submitted a representation dated 22.04.2024 before the Joint Director, Social Welfare Department seeking reimbursement of the said amount. However, despite the said representation, the respondents have not passed any orders or released the said amount. Hence, the instant writ petition.

5. Learned counsel for the petitioner relies on the judgment of this Court dated 06.03.2026 in W.P. No.17873 of 2024.

6. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Social Welfare appearing for the respondents does not dispute that the issue involved is covered by the judgment of this Court dated 06.03.2026 in W.P. No.17873 of 2024.

7. Having regard to the same, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition in terms of the judgment passed by the Co-ordinate Bench of this Court dated 06.03.2026 in W.P. No.17873 of 2024.

8. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the following directions:

i) The Respondents concerned are directed to examine the claim of the Petitioner-College as per the Jnanabhumi portal within a period of eight (08) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order;

ii) On such verification, the amount due to the Petitioner shall be paid to the Petitioner within a period of three (3) months thereafter;

iii) There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel, miscellaneous applications pending, if any, shall stand closed. ______________________________ JUSTICE KIRANMAYEE MANDAVA Date: 15.06.2026 BSK
