ORDER:-

The Criminal Petition has been filed under Section 483(2) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for brevity ‘the BNSS’), seeking to cancel the bail granted to the respondent No.1/accused No.1 by the order of this Court dated 03.12.2024 in Crl.P.No.5548 of 2024 (Crime No.196 of 2018 of I-Town Police Station, Srikalahasti, Tirupathi District).

2. Though the present Criminal Petition is filed seeking to cancel the bail granted to respondent No.1/accused No.1, today when the matter came up for hearing, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner/defacto complainant has restricted her argument to the extent of directing the Trial Court to dispose of Sessions Case No. 82 of 2021.

3. In view of the same, without going into the merits of the case, the learned XII Additional District & Sessions Judge, Srikalahasti is directed to dispose of Sessions Case No. 82 of 2021, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, without granting adjournments in a casual manner upon mere request, as the crime pertains to the year 2018.

4. With the above directions, the Criminal Petition is disposed of.

As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
