The Court made the following ORDER:

1. This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following relief:

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing counsel appearing for the respondent Nos. 2 and 3.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the action of the 4th respondent in not taking any action on the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 22.09.2025, vide No.H6/56/25, seeking compassionate appointment, though the verification of the original certificates of the petitioner was already conducted on 23.11.2023 vide Ref.No.A3/1754/2023, is illegal and arbitrary.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that as per the notice dated 23.11.2023 issued by the District Collector, Kadapa, who is the competent authority to consider appointments on compassionate grounds, the petitioner’s case was verified and her name was included at Serial No.57 in the eligibility list prepared on 23.11.2023. However, despite the lapse of more than three years, the respondent authorities have neither considered the case of the petitioner nor issued any orders thereon. Hence, the present writ petition.

5. Considering the above submissions, this Court is not inclined to go into the merits of the case. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent authorities, more particularly the 4th respondent, to consider the case of the petitioner for compassionate appointment in accordance with the relevant records and applicable rules, and pass appropriate orders thereon, duly intimating the petitioner, within a period of three (03) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall no order as to costs.

Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition shall stand closed. ___________________________ JUSTICE D RAMESH 13.03.2026 klk
