IN THE HIGH COURT OF ANDHRA PRADESH AT AMARAVATI

WRIT APPEAL NO: 199 of 2026 Bench Sr.No:-6

A. Hari ...Appellant Vs. The State Of Andhra Pradesh and Others ...Respondent(s) ********** Advocate for Appellant: Mr. V Sudhakar Reddy Advocate(s) for Respondent(s): Mr. Gudapati Lakshminarayana, SC for Municipalities in Rayalaseema Region

CORAM : THE CHIEF JUSTICE DHIRAJ SINGH THAKUR SRI JUSTICE R RAGHUNANDAN RAO DATE : 26th February 2026 P C :

The present writ appeal has been preferred against an order, dated 12.02.2026, in W.P. No.4161 of 2026. The learned single Judge by virtue of the order impugned after considering the matter, did not find it a fit case for grant of interim order for the time being.

The present writ appeal has been preferred on the ground that there was enough material which could have prima facie led to the grant of interim relief in favour of the appellant.

We have heard learned counsel for the appellant as also gone through the order passed by the learned single Judge. The appellant/petitioner was

challenging the order passed in G.O.Rt.No.135 by the Municipal Administration Department on 09.02.2026 before the learned single Judge, whereby the petitioner was removed as the Chairperson of the Puttur Municipality.

Any order in the interim would have granted the relief in its entirety before the learned single Judge rendering the proceedings thereafter totally academic. In our opinion, no interference is warranted in the order passed by the learned single Judge. It will be open to the appellant herein to work out his remedies before the said Court. The Writ Appeal is, accordingly, disposed of. No costs.

Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed.
