1. It is submitted by both the learned advocates representing the petitioner as well as the opposite party no.2 that parties have entered into an amicable settlement and to that extent, a joint application being CRAN 5 of 2026 has been filed before this Court. Both the learned advocates pray before this Court that the allegations levelled against the present petitioner by the opposite party no.2 is for commission of offence under Sections 406/417/418/420/506 of the Indian Penal Code.

2. On careful perusal of the contents of the said application filed jointly by both the parties, it is seen that it has been duly signed by both the parties and considering the nature of the offences being alleged, this Court is of the view that once two parties have settled the dispute amicably, there should not be any scope for further adjudication and keeping the matter pending before the learned trial Court would be a futile exercise as there is remote possibility of passing an order of conviction.

3. Hence, CRAN 5 of 2026 stands allowed. The entire proceeding pending before the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, 14th Court, Calcutta, being Complaint Case No.CS-61031 of 2021 under Sections 406/417/418/420/506 of the Indian Penal Code is hereby quashed against the present petitioner.

4. The revisional application and the connected applications are, accordingly, disposed of.

5. All parties shall act on the server copies of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

6. Criminal Section is directed to supply certified copies of this order to the parties, if applied for, upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
