WPA/26879/2026 of MD. ALAMGIR HOSSAIN Vs THE ELECTION COMMISSION OF INDIA AND ORS. on 9 October 2026

1. Petitioner and Election Commission are represented.

2. The instant writ petition has been filed by the present petitioner praying for various reliefs in the writ petition including direction for disposal of the appeal preferred by the writ petitioner in a time-bound manner, upon consideration of all the documents produced on behalf of the petitioner.

3. The name of the petitioner was removed from the voter list in the SIR proceeding undertaken by the respondents. The petitioner has preferred an appeal against the deletion of his name, which is pending with the SIR Tribunal.

4. In the facts and circumstances of the case, the SIR Appellate Tribunal is requested to consider and dispose of the appeal preferred by the petitioner having his EPIC No.HVH2314474 as early as possible, preferably within a period of one months from date.

5. WPA 26879 of 2026 is, accordingly, disposed of.
