In Re : Ch. Madhusudhan Varma ...… petitioner Mr. Suddhadev Adak Ms. Richa Pramanik Mr. Samrat Hoque …for the petitioner Mr. Sourabh Sundar Shee Mr. Kaustav Manna

…for the State

Petitioner is the husband. Police complaint is with regard to dowry demand and mental torture upon the wife. Claim of the petitioner is that the wife is involved with another person. Materials in the case diary do not suggest requirement of custodial interrogation of the petitioner. In such circumstances, I grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, I direct that in the event of arrest, the petitioner shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/-, with two sureties of like amount each, to the satisfaction of the arresting officer and also be subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 482 (2) of the B.N.S.S., 2023. The petitioner will report before the Investigating Officer once a month till the conclusion of the investigation. The petitioner shall appear on every date before the Jurisdictional Court on and from the date fixed for appearance of the accused and in default the jurisdictional Court will pass appropriate order to secure the presence of the petitioner in Court including cancelling the anticipatory bail granted without further reference to this Court. This application for anticipatory bail is, thus, allowed. Memorandum of evidence filed in Court be kept on record.
